Welcome to LAMPSWelcome to LAMPS

Welcome to the Lindal & Marton Primary School (LAMPS) Website. LAMPS is a popular and successful non-denominational Cumbria County Primary School. The school's 2007 Ofsted report states, "This school provides an outstanding quality of education for its pupils.". We hope that our website gives you a flavour of what we do.

All Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) documents, the Ofsted report on the school, school prospectus, and all school policies and schemes of work are available from the Headteacher after prior notice is given. Many documents are also available from the LAMPS Downloads page on this website.

Please visit the PTA Shop: Help the PTA to raise funds for the school by purchasing from our online shop. The shop is supported by over 100 retailers and service companies, enabling you to purchase goods, gift vouchers, and services for your home or business. LAMPS PTA receives the full commission from the shop and from our on-site Google advertising. This does not affect the prices that you pay.

Total raised so far =  £241.45

What People Say About Us

"The range of activities offered is exceptional. Achievement is outstanding.", Ofsted report 2007.

"I ran out of paper in making a list of all the things you do here. There are so many chances for you to try sports, drama, and music. I'm glad you make the most of them. For such a small school you have a lot of talented adults working with you, this is one of the reasons why you are doing so well. I know you appreciate all the clubs, visits, visitors and special events in school. So do your parents. I especially liked your wonderful garden and the way you look after it.", letter from Ofsted Lead Inspector to LAMPS pupils 2007.

"The school has maintained enviable outcomes over a period of years, and these achievements have been recognised both locally and nationally.", Investors in People assessment 2007.

"Please accept my warmest congratulations and pass them on to your staff, governors and, of course, your pupils.", letter from Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools advising LAMPS of its Ofsted 'Particularly Successful School' accreditation in 2005.

"This is a very good school. The way that the governing body, headteacher, teachers and their assistants work in harmony to allow pupils to succeed, enjoy learning and grow in maturity is first rate.", Ofsted report 2003.
