Thefts from Outbuildings, Garages and Vehicles in Furness VillagesThe police have asked residents to be aware that there have been a number of thefts of tools, garden machinery, and quad bikes from outbuildings, garages and vehicles in local villages. You are encouraged to call the police if you notice any suspicious noises or activities, particularly at night time. WPC Karen Harris said, "I wanted to reiterate the message of how valuable it is if people ring in having seen anything suspicious, and if they hear noises through the night and are concerned to ring us immediately. I can't stress how important it is to have people secure their valuables and where possible to have a record of serial numbers, makes and models. Ideally even to paint their property in such a way to make it undesirable and distinctive to others". Crimestoppers
