LAMPS Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Friends of Lindal & Marton Primary School
All parents and carers of children who attend the school are automatically members of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the aim of which is to foster good relationships between home and school. The PTA is very active in raising funds for the school, and in organising special events for pupils, friends and families. Fundraising The PTA organises the sale of new and second-hand school uniforms for pupils. They donate funds to the school for many purposes, including book bags, furniture, a water cooler, a fridge, and sports equipment. They have paid for tree-planting, fencing, play equipment, bins, and other improvements to the school playground, garden and playing field. Please click on the PTA Shop link (at the top of every page) to help raise funds. LAMPS PTA receives the full commission from the shop and from our on-site Google advertising. See Accounts. Events The PTA organises various social and fundraising activities, such as a lottery, plant fairs, beetle drives, raffles, quizzes, discos and barbecues. In 2004, the PTA held a Victorian picnic on The Green, and provided a free mug to all pupils in the school to commemorate the school's 150th anniversary. In 2007, the PTA organised an excellent evening of live music with local bands "Kev Roberts" and "The Irie", complete with party games, and pie & peas.
